It's Raining Trampolines In Preston
Southeast idaho winds reach unprecidented speeds Friday March 12, 2020. Gusts of 50 miles per hour weren't uncommon and sustain 40 mph wind lasted through Saturday. Reports of property damage and injuries were abundant.
One car was hit by a flying trampoline and drivers spent 20 minutes getting the road clear after the incident. Other debris scattered roadways throughout the weekend.
Downed trees and branches caused damage to local power lines and transformers. Fortunately, no mass power outages occured. All small outages have been resolved by Preston Fire and Police Department.
No fatalities were reported due to the extreme weather and most effects of the storm have been cleaned up. The record windspeeds were the highest Preston has seen in 23 years. Authorities urge any unreported storm damage be reported to the city police department.
